An eighth decision for success

T H E   E I G H T H   D E C I S I O N   F O R   S U C C E S S
I will have an unconditional concern for others.
From  this moment forward, I will first and foremost focus on the needs of others. I fully
understand that when I place the needs of others first, my needs will always be met. Keeping my focus
on the needs of others will rid me of guilt and give me the peace of mind to move forward in my
endeavors.
I will have an unconditional concern for others.

Never again will I have the thought of “what is in it for me” in my decision making process.  I
will listen to the needs of others and make my decisions based on what I can do for them. I understand
that by removing my needs and focusing on the needs of others I can help more people achieve their
goals and dreams. I will first listen and remove my need to be right and replace it with their need to be
heard.
I understand I have spent much of my time seeking my needs and being oblivious to the needs of
others. I know that these decisions have given me what I have gained, but do not provide a way for me to
measure what I have lost. I will never again risk permanent loss for my temporary gain. I know that by
focusing on the needs of others, I will receive all that I need or want.
I will have an unconditional concern for others.
My compassion for others will show  in all I do and say. I am the only one that can control my
actions and thoughts and will always keep the needs of others first. I will not brag or boast about what I
do for others. I will keep in mind that I do for others not for recognition but from true compassion.
Given the opportunity to help someone, I will embrace the opportunity and do all I can with the
resources available to me. I will take time to reflect if I truly did all I could to help. I will not dwell on
what else I could have done as I will do all I can initially. With that I will feel good about my decisions.
I keep in mind that I can have anything I want if I help enough other people get what they want.
Knowing that I have placed the needs of others before mine, all I receive will be earned. I will
never have to feel that I received something I did not deserve, and I understand that I will I receive what
is deserved. Either way I will always be a winner.
I will have an unconditional concern for others.
Since I have committed to always putting others first and doing so without expectation, I know
there will be less confrontation and more satisfaction with everyone I encounter. I also realize that some
people can never be helped… I will not accept that as defeat nor will I spend the energy that could be
used for good by focusing on what cannot be done.
I will have an unconditional concern for others

The Advantage of Change

In this current Real Estate Market and current economic conditions we must all be prepared and embrace change. Change is one of the major fears that people have. This is why some folks get reelected to office, why some folks stay with a certain company or industry and why some people stay in relationships that don't work. All that being said sometimes change is your only option.
Real Estate Today fluctuates and news reports change daily. One day we are still in the midst of a housing crisis and the next great news in Real Estate as sales are on the rise. So what can one do. Well as a Real Estate Investor you must watch the trends and be sure that your support team is on top of the changes. While prices are low and interest rates are low buyers are still somewhat shy about coming into the market. This is where change comes in. If you have had a steady investment plan with certain criteria and certain terms it may be time to change. Changing your criteria on what you will buy can open up a completely new opportunity for you. So review your Real Estate Investment Goals and make the changes that will insure your future success.
When it comes to the economic conditions of today, again we hear conflicting reports. Stocks are up so the economy is looking better while at the same time gas prices are on a quick rise. Again change is needed, so why not start where you are. Changing habits can increase your cash flow in this economy, no wasted trips and being diligent in what you are spending. Looking for alternative methods to increase your income, in any economy increasing your income will offset any economic downturn. Don't be afraid to make a change it can brighten your day and your life bringing you unimaginable happiness.

Another decision, The power of Forgiveness

THE SIXTH DECISION FOR SUCCESS
I will greet this day with a forgiving spirit.
For too long, every ounce of forgiveness I owned was locked away, hidden from view, waiting for me
to bestow its precious presence upon some worthy person. Alas, I found most people to be singularly
unworthy of my valuable forgiveness, and since they never asked for any, I kept it all for myself. Now,
the forgiveness that I hoarded has sprouted inside my heart like a crippled seed yielding bitter fruit.
No more! At this moment, my life has taken on new hope and assurance. Of all the world's
population, I am one of the few possessors of the secret to dissipating anger and resentment. I now
understand that forgiveness has value only when it is given away. By the simple act of granting forgiveness, I release the demons of the past about which I can do nothing, and I create in myself a new heart, a
new beginning.
I will greet this day with a forgiving spirit. I will forgive even those who do not ask for
forgiveness.
Many are the times when I have seethed in anger at a word or deed thrown into my life by an
unthinking or uncaring person. I have wasted valuable hours imagining revenge or confrontation. Now I
see the truth revealed about this psychological rock inside my shoe. The rage I nurture is often onesided, for my offender seldom gives thought to his offense!
I will now and forevermore silently offer my forgiveness even to those who do not see that they
need it. By the act of forgiving, I am no longer consumed by unproductive thoughts. I give up my
bitterness. I am content in my soul and effective again with my fellow man.
I will greet this day with a forgiving spirit. I will forgive those who criticize me unjustly.
Knowing that slavery in any form is wrong, I also know that the person who lives a life according to the
opinion of others is a slave. I am not a slave. I have chosen my counsel. I know the difference between
right and wrong. I know what is best for the future of my family, and neither misguided opinion nor
unjust criticism will alter my course.
Those who are critical of my goals and dream s simply do not understand the higher purpose to
which I have been called. Therefore, their scorn does not affect my attitude or action. I forgive their lack
of vision, and I forge ahead. I now know that criticism is part of the price paid for leaping past
mediocrity.

I will greet this day with a forgiving spirit. I will forgive myself. For many years, my greatest
enemy has been myself. Every mistake, every miscalculation, every stumble I made has been replayed
again and again in my mind. Every broken promise, every day wasted, every goal not reached has
compounded the disgust I feel for the lack of achievement in my life. My dismay has developed a
paralyzing grip. When I disappoint myself, I respond with inaction and become more disappointed.
I realize today that it is impossible to fight an enemy living in my head. By forgiving myself, I erase the
doubts, fears, and frustration that have kept my past in the present. From this day forward, my history
will cease to control my destiny. I have forgiven myself. My life has just begun.
I will forgive even those who do not ask for forgiveness. I will forgive those who criticize me
unjustly.
I will forgive myself.
I will greet this day with a forgiving spirit

Morning Thoughts

Although this Blog was initially designed for Real Estate Trends and News, I have changed the format. My Real Estate Blog with news tips and ideas can be found at www.agentdadams.com and I have been using this Blog to share ideas on success and happiness. Today will be no exception.

Failure it seems is one of the most feared things today. An understanding of failure can help ease that fear and put you on a path for great success. All the highly successful people over the years have one thing in common and that was failure. How they overcame this to become successful was simple in their minds. Do not let your failures stop you from your pursuit of success. When we fail, if we use the opportunity to see what did not work we have the ability to change what we did hence changing the outcome next time.  Failure should only be feared if it succeeds in stopping you from trying again. When you decide to quit then failure wins, when you decide to move on and learn from your setbacks then you win. So go ahead and be a winner it is your choice.

A new way of thinking

I woke up early today:
I woke up early today excited over all I get to do before the clock strikes midnight. I have responsibilities to fulfill today. I am important. My job is to chose what kind of day I  am going to have.

Today: I can complain because the weather is rainy OR I can be thankful that the grass is being watered for free.
Today: I can feel sad that I don't have more money OR I can be glad that my finances encourage me to plan my purchases wisely and guide me away from waste.
Today: I can grumble about my health OR I can rejoice that I am alive.
Today: I can complain over all my parents didn't give me when I was growing up OR I can feel grateful that they allowed me to be born.
Today: I can cry because the roses have thorns OR I can celebrate that the thorns have roses.
Today: I can mourn my lack of friends OR I can excitedly embark upon a quest to discover new friends.
Today: I can whine because I have to go to work OR I can shout out for joy because I have a job to do.
Today: I can complain because I have to go to school OR I can eagerly open my mind and fill it with new knowledge.
Today: I can complain because I have to do housework OR I can be happy that I have shelter.
Today stretches ahead of me, waiting to be shaped and here I am the sculptor given the opportunity to do the shaping. What today will be like and what kind of day I will have is completely up to me .
Have a great day, unless you have other plans.
